Who is the controller

There is no account here

This page has no registration and no sign-in. We do not collect your name, your email address or any professional identification.

What data is processed

The question you type. It is sent to our server to produce the answer and is NOT stored in our systems: no record of the text is kept.

Your IP address. It is used to enforce the daily search limit and to prevent abuse. It is held temporarily in a counter table and deleted automatically after a few days.

Anti-bot verification. We use Cloudflare Turnstile, which performs technical checks in your browser. It sets no cookies.

Purposes and lawful bases

Providing the service you request when you press Search (performance of your request, Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).

Protecting the service against abuse and keeping it available, through the IP limit and anti-bot check (legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).

Who we share it with

To produce the answer, the text of your question is sent to the following providers, acting as processors:

• Supabase — infrastructure hosting and execution of server functions;
• Anthropic — the language model that writes the answer;
• Perplexity — search across the selected medical sources;
• Cloudflare — anti-bot verification (Turnstile).

These providers may process data outside the United Kingdom, under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent safeguards.

We do not sell or share data with third parties for advertising.

Retention

The text of questions is not retained. Counters linked to the IP address are deleted after a few days by an automated task.

Cookies and local storage

This page uses NO cookies: none of our own, none from third parties, not even after the anti-bot check.

Two values are kept in your browser’s local storage: the country or language you chose, and the fact that you have already confirmed you are a healthcare professional. They are anonymous, they stop the page asking you the same thing again, and they are never sent to our server. You can remove them by clearing site data in your browser.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing by writing to suporte@dioscope.com.

Note that because we do not keep the text of questions or link it to an identified person, in most cases we will not be able to locate any data relating to you.

You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Security

Communication with the server is always encrypted (HTTPS). Access to the infrastructure is restricted and logged.

Changes

We may update this notice. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its last-updated date.
