Who is the controller

There is no account here

This page has no registration and no sign-in. We do not collect your name, your email address or any professional identification.

What data is processed

The question you type and the answer. They are sent to our server to produce the answer and stored without any link to you (no IP address or identifier), to improve the quality of answers. Do not include any information that could identify a patient.

Your IP address. It is used to enforce the daily search limit and to prevent abuse. It is held temporarily in a counter table and deleted automatically within 48 hours.

A random identifier for this browser. To apply the limit of one free question every 24 hours, we store a random identifier in this browser (it does not identify you) and send it with the question. On our server it is linked only to the time of the question and is deleted within 48 hours.

Your history. The history of your questions is saved only in this browser: it is not sent to our servers and you can clear it at any time.

Anti-bot verification. We use Cloudflare Turnstile, which performs technical checks in your browser. It sets no cookies.

Purposes and lawful bases

Providing the service you request when you press Search (performance of your request, Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).

Protecting the service against abuse and keeping it available, through the IP limit and anti-bot check (legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).

Improving the quality of answers using questions and answers stored without any link to a person (legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).

Who we share it with

To produce the answer, the text of your question is sent to the following providers, acting as processors:

• Supabase — infrastructure hosting and execution of server functions;
• OpenAI, Anthropic and Google — the language models that write and check the answer, depending on the service configuration;
• Perplexity — search across the selected medical sources;
• Cloudflare — anti-bot verification (Turnstile).

These providers may process data outside the United Kingdom, under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent safeguards.

The use of Google Analytics and of Google and Meta marketing services depends on your consent, as described in the cookies section of this notice.

Retention

The text of questions and answers is kept without any link to a person for up to 24 months, to improve the service, and is then deleted automatically. Counters linked to the IP address and the browser identifier are deleted within 48 hours by an automated task. Your history stays in your browser until you clear it.

Cookies and local storage

With your analytics permission, we use Google Analytics, managed through Google Tag Manager, to produce site usage statistics (visited pages, where the visit came from, browser identifiers and technical device data), not for advertising. With your marketing permission, we use Google and Meta marketing tools to measure campaigns. The two choices are independent and refusing does not prevent access or purchases.

Your choice is shared between dioscope.com and app.dioscope.com through dio_marketing_consent for up to 180 days. localStorage keeps a copy of your preferences, the random identifier for the question limit and, if you use it, your history; none of this identifies your account.

With consent, the server may send Meta a confirmed purchase or enrolment (including free enrolments or enrolments with an offer code), the amount paid, currency and browser identifiers. Campaign labels (utm) from the link you clicked are stored with the enrolment, for as long as it exists, to measure campaigns; they do not identify you personally. We do not send email addresses, NIF, course names or clinical content. Attribution data: up to 7 days; delivery records: 30 days; pseudonymous withdrawal evidence: 187 days. Google · Meta.

You can withdraw consent in the site’s cookie settings or the app’s privacy page. New sends stop when the server receives the withdrawal; offline, the browser retries on the next visit. This does not retrospectively delete data already sent.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing by writing to suporte@dioscope.com.

Note that because the text of questions is not linked to an identified person, in most cases we will not be able to locate any data relating to you.

You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Security

Communication with the server is always encrypted (HTTPS). Access to the infrastructure is restricted and logged.

We may update this notice. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its last-updated date.
